    À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ’s emergency notification system

    Students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to . It is the safest way to ensure that you receive critical notifications on safety issues, school closings and weather alerts.

    The system sends simultaneous messages to all registered text-message capable phones, PDAs, and e-mail addresses to alert registrants of information critical to their safety and well-being. The service will also post the message on À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ’s Web site.

    Rave does not charge subscribers to send or receive SMS messages. Standard or other messaging charges apply depending upon your wireless carrier plan and subscription details. Once registered, you can opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting STOP to 67283 or 226787.

    Inclement Weather

    In the event of inclement weather, information about school cancellation or a delayed opening is available on our website. The voice message system at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ will have a recorded announcement. Decisions for morning classes will be determined by 5:30 a.m. If a delay has been announced for morning classes and conditions worsen, a final decision on morning class cancelations will be determined by 7:30 a.m. Afternoon classes will be determined by 10:30 a.m., evening classes by 3:30 p.m., and Saturday classes by 7:00 a.m. Classes will be rescheduled as needed.

    Who can subscribe/use the service?
    Any À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ student, staff, or faculty member with a @yti.edu e-mail address can subscribe.

    What is my username and/or password?
    Your username and/or password is the same as your À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ email address and network password.

    Does it matter who my cell phone provider/carrier is?
    Most providers are able to receive À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ alert messages.

    What if my cell phone number changes?
    After you log in, select the My Account tab and then select edit under Mobile contacts. To the far right you can select edit, test or delete. Edit your number and then select test. You will be sent a test message so that you know it’s working.

    What if my cell phone provider changes?
    If you change your mobile number, you will need to edit the mobile number in your account. If you keep the same mobile number, and simply change cell phone provider, you do not have to change anything.

    Will my sign-up information be shared with third parties?
    No. Your e-mail address and cell phone number will not be provided to organizations outside of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ.

    How will I identify incoming messages from Campus Alert?
